Emergency situations are just that, emergencies. And even when we know what to do, the emergency may make us forget.
WFMY News 2's Tanya Rivera recently had a friend who had severe shortness of breath. Tanya's first response was, "Stay there, I'm on my way to get you." She said she should have called 911.
To help us think straight, the American Red Cross made a First Aid app. It features simple step-by-step instructions to guide you through different scenarios. It's fully integrated with 911 so you can call EMS from the app at any time. You can even access the information if you don't have reception or an internet connection.
The app is free for apple, android, and amazon devices.
