If you're tired of websites asking you to download their apps when you're searching for something on your phone, then USATODAY has a solution for you.
You can have your Apple Safari browser impersonate a desktop browser. Do this by tapping and holding the reload button in Safari. You'll see the 'request desktop site' option pop up. Click that and the page should reload without any nags to install its app.
You can also get to the 'request desktop site' option by using safari's share button at the bottom of your iPhone.
Just tap the middle icon and scroll to the right until you see the desk top icon. Voila! No more pestering from mobile apps.
