Study: HPV Vaccine Works Better Than Expected

Your doctor is always telling you to get your shots. You have to stay healthy right? So if you're going back and forth on whether you want your child to get that HPV vaccine, a study shows it works better than expected.

A researcher at the University of New Mexico says after eight years of vaccination, the reduction of abnormal growth of cells has been reduced nearly 50 percent.

The study also found it appears you still get protection even when you only get one or two of the recommended doses.

The recommendation is three doses for girls and boys before their 13th birthday.

Researchers say this is the first study that shows declines in pre-cancerous lesions across a large population.
