The Benefits Of Giving

The Mental Benefits Of Giving

We're spreading random acts of kindness in bite-size peanut butter and chocolate chunks with our #2BeSweet campaign. With all the smiles we've seen, we wanted to explore the psychology behind giving.

Giving is a way to connect to other people. Connecting is what humanity is about. It’s what brings us together because we don’t live in isolation. Keep in the mind that giving is not just giving money or gifts. It’s also spending time, making connections for someone, sharing ideas, volunteering, helping someone.

Giving is a way to give your life purpose. When you have the power to make someone smile and bring them happiness, that's powerful. You're the one who's making a difference in someone's life.

There are some many health benefits when you give. You increase your own emotional state (your happiness), you’re relaxed, you smile, you feel good, you decrease your stress levels, increase feel good hormones.
