You no longer need to physically go up to the TV to change the channel.

You can make just one cup of coffee--not a whole pot.!

And clothes are made wrinkle free with no ironing required. But with convenience comes a cost. took a look at how technology has made clothing easier to wash and wear, but with considerations.

Fabrics listed as permanent press, anti-wrinkle or anti-cling, and waterproof, perspiration proof all have one common chemical in them to help make them what they are: formaldehyde. Yep, the same embalming fluid used for people and the frog you dissected in high school. Formaldehyde is a known carcinogen.

The CPSC doesn't show a link between formaldehyde-emitting fabrics with cancer, but those type fabrics have been known to create everything from rashes to blisters when it comes in contact with skin.

Unlike some other countries, the U.S. doesn't regulate the use of formaldehyde in clothes-- so you don't see it listed on the clothing label.

According to you don't have to get rid of all your clothes...but you definitely want to wash new clothes before you wear them. It dissipates the amount of the chemical.
