Texting, calling, and surfing the web. It all comes at a price.
Here are ways to slash your phone bill.
You already know to opt out of extra services you may not need -- like road side assistance. You can also stop your unlimited data plan if you don't need it.
What you may not know is adding additional lines to your cell phone plan can actually save you some cash.
In several instances, one line could cost $70 while adding another could be $40. Split that between two people and each person is paying $55. That's a yearly savings of $180.
If you've moved to a different area code -- you can keep your cell phone number but change the address on file with your service provider. There could be big savings in taxes and fees.
