GREENSBORO, NC -- Most of us wouldn't know what heroin looked like if we saw it, or how it is packaged for sale. So you wouldn't know what to look for if you suspected a family member or friend was using.
Check this out, heroin in the powder form can be white, rose gray, brown --and even black. The different colors come from other drugs or substances that are mixed in with the heroin.
When it comes to how it's packaged and sold, a coalition for heroin awareness shares photos showing the aluminum folded up square to package powder. There's a packaging called a balloon in which dealers place heroin in black tar and tie the top of the bag. Then there's always the plain ziploc bag with the powder in it.
