GREENSBORO, NC -- Whether you need guidance on finding cheaper ways to get your pet spayed/neutered or you need ways to help pay for your pet's daily needs, 2 Wants To Know is getting answers for you.
2WTK called a couple low cost spay/neuter providers. Prices ranged from $50 to $90 to spay or neuter a cat.
The full service animal hospitals were anywhere from $50 to $330.
If you're taking Fido in to be fixed, expect to pay more. We found the going rate was $80 to $140 at the low cost providers. At the animal hospitals, expect the cost to stretch from $75 to $495. With those kinds of numbers, it's worth calling around.
And if the cost is more bones than you have in your account, there are charity funds set up for pet owners. You can find them on this Humane Society website.
