Why Color Coding Your Closet Could Make Your Clothes Last Longer

GREENSBORO, NC -- This is make over week on 2WTK and while researching ways to save you time and money, we found the real reason why you should organize your closet by color.

The dry cleaning company, A Cleaner World, sent out information about sublimation dyes. Its a strange science event taking place in your closet.

Stagnant Nitrogen gas in the air causes dark dyes to vaporize from fabrics and redeposit on nearby light garments, creating discoloration or outright staining.

To avoid it, consider color coding and ventilating your closets. In fact A Cleaner World recommends leaving your closet doors open when you're away for a weekend or longer to allow the indoor pollutants to disperse.
