Yes, Even Your Lashes Can Be 3D! 2Test: Fiber Lashes Mascara

Younique's 3D Fiber Lashes Mascara claims to define and lengthen lashes to the point of false eyelashes! Does it work? The studnets at Health & Style Institute in High Point put it to the 2Test.

Greensboro, NC - The average woman will spend $15,000 on makeup, and we found a new product that could change the way you get ready, each and every day.

According to a study recently published on Mint.com, the average woman will shell out $3,770 on mascara, $2,750 on eyeshadow and $1,780 on lipstick in her lifetime.

I am sure you have seen advertisements of different products claiming it will make your eyelashes fuller or your eyes more smoky, but how often do they actually work? So we decided to look into 3-D mascara to see if it is matching up to the hype.

I have 3D Mascara on one eye and a false eyelash on the other. Can you tell which is which? While you guess, here is how the mascara works:

Younique's 3-D Fiber Lashes consists of two tubes with wands that that look like regular mascara, but one tube has a special gel that coats the lashes. The other tube is filled with tiny fibers that stick to the gel.

How the mascara works is you apply a thin coat of your regular mascara on both lashes, apply an even coat of the transplanting lashes, and then immediately before the gel has time to dry immediately apply the fibers onto lashes.

We decided to test the product out on two student at High Point's Health and Style Institute. So what did they say?

"It's like putting regular mascara on," said Catalina.

"It looks a lot different. it makes your lashes longer and thicker, and feels like regular mascara," explained Kaylin.

Younique's website claims the Moodstruck 3-D Fiber Mascara dramatically enhances and magnifies the appearance of your own lashes.

And overall it got positive feedback. Everyone who tried it claimed that it made their lashes longer and more full. It was even said it gives you as much volume as fake lashes.

So did the effect last the day? Yes! And it came off with regular make up remover. Younique's 3-D mascara is sold online for $29.
