20th Anniversary For Local Blood Drive

BURLINGTON, N.C -- Faucette Township volunteer fire department held its 20th anniversary blood drive Saturday.

Gary Brant who helped coordinate the drive says the weather has really put a dent in blood donations this year.

"The snow has kiiled us lately," Brand said. "We have had drives cancelled, close early. That's had a big impact on our collection of course."

But Saturday, people ventured out.

The average goal for a blood driver is 30 pints. The goal for this blood drive was 40 and 42 pints were donated.
