GREENSBORO, NC -- Greensboro is home to many people of many faiths, and the annual Peace Festival wants to celebrate that!
The interfaith event is held downtown to celebrate Greensboro's diverse community, as well as create a dialogue, understanding, and engagement.
With a march, prayers, and various religious leaders making speeches, the festival gives small group activities to create a safe space for people who are willing to share their personal stories.
The Peace Festival was organized in 2015 by the Islamic Center of Greensboro in a response to a letter asking to mosque to be less visible.
