3 Arrested In Alamance Co. Sexting Investigation

ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. -- The Alamance County Sheriff's Office said they made their third arrest in a sexting investigation that started in January.

Public Information Officer Randy Jones said Ezra Dejesus Brent, 17, of Burlington was the first arrested on March 12. Jones said Brent robbed a home and was caught after he tried to escape deputies during a chase.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force became involved after pictures of a 16-year-old girl were allegedly found on Brent's cell phone. Deputies said Brent also sent obscene images of himself to the girl as well.

Brent was also charged with feloniously assaulting a law enforcement officer during the investigation.

Jordan Tyler Pickard, 20, of Graham was charged on April 3 after an obscene video of himself and a female identified as Maureen Chafatelli, 16, of Elon, was found on her cellphone. She was charged the same day with the misdemeanor of preparing obscene images for dissemination in violation of GS 14-190.5(1).
