50 People Become American Citizens At Old Salem

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – 50 people became new American citizens on the birthday of our country's independence.

Friday, July 4, a naturalization ceremony was held at Old Salem, which is home to the first Independence Day celebration in 1783.

The ceremony was just one of 95 around the country where about 7,800 other became American citizens.
