WINSTON-SALEM, N.C.-- It's been the spring bargain sale that brings hundreds of people from around the Triad every year but this will be the final one. The Junior League of Winston-Salem is having its annual Rummage Sale Friday, April 11 and Saturday, April 12 and sadly, for all who enjoy the bargain deals, there won't be one next year.
The theme of this year's sale is "60 Years of Rummage". The organization said in a news release that the theme was created to honor and celebrate the final rummage sale, which started in 1953. The city of Winston-Salem has designated the area of this year's sale, "Rummage Sale Blvd."
The sale has been the largest annual fundraiser for the Junior League of Winston-Salem.
