ALAMANCE COUNTY, NC — Alamance County Sheriff Terry Johnson announced he will not run for U.S. Marshal of the Middle District of North Carolina and will run for a fifth term as Sheriff in 2018.
“Taking all things into consideration, I (feel) that I’ve got work to do here” Johnson said. “My heart and soul is in Alamance County. This is where I was raised; this is my home.”

Johnson said said he felt he could do more for the county as Sheriff than as a Marshal. Johnson has been the Alamance Sheriff since 2002.
