ALAMANCE COUNTY, N.C. -- An Alamance County woman says a man tried to grab her and pull her into his car Sunday evening while she was walking her dog.
The woman was walking her dog on Forest Oaks Lane near Mebane around 7:30 when she claims a car passed by then turned around before stopping in front of her. The driver got out and tried to pull her into his car with her dog growling and attempting to bite the suspect. The man gave up and got away in his car according to the Alamance County Sheriff's Department. Investigators are still trying to find him.
"She didn't recognize the individual or the car so we don't know if it was a random attack or what the motive was," explains Randy Jones, Public Information Officer for the Alamance County Sheriff''s Office.
The vehicle is described as possibly being a 'recently detailed' silver Honda with tinted windows. The suspect was described as a middle eastern male in his 20’s, with dark hair, a neatly trimmed beard, medium build and estimated as being 5’7” in height.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Alamance County Sheriff’s Office at (336) 570-6300.
