Arrests Made, Family Grieves After Southern Pines Girl Killed In Drive-By Shooting

SOUTHERN PINES - Two arrests were made last weekend in connection with a drive-by shooting that killed a 12-year-old girl.

Southern Pines Police charged 16-year-old Montice McManus with murder and assault with a deadly weapon and charged 20-year old Malik Crawford with accessory after the fact. McManus is in jail without bond and Crawford is being held on a $300,000 bond.

The shooting, done during the day, killed 12-year-old Jalinda Campbell and injured three-year-old Kyleigh Graham. The girls were sitting on the porch of the targeted house.

Campbell's family gathered to release balloons and hold a moment of silence for Jalinda.
