An illegal video gaming location was raided in Rockingham County last week.
A release distributed by the SBI says a raid of Lucky Duck Internet Cafe led to 192 illegal sweepstakes video gaming machines and more than $27,000 in cash.
A team from the state's Alcohol Law Enforcement led the search at the business located on US Highway 220 just outside Madison. The Rockingham County Sheriff's Office and Madison Police assisted with the search.
Rockingham County Sheriff Sam Page said “This should serve as a reminder to persons wanting to open or operate illegal video gaming establishments that the State Alcohol Law Enforcement and the Sheriff’s Office will investigate and charge those in violation of the video gaming laws in Rockingham County.”
No arrests were made the day of the search. An ALE investigation is ongoing and criminal charges are expected.
