Baby Has Fractured Femur, Mom's Boyfriend Charged with Child Abuse: Sheriff

YADKIN COUNTY, NC - A baby was found to have a fractured femur Tuesday in Yadkin County after the child's mom and grandma brought it to the doctor, prompting a child abuse charge.

The Yadkin County Sheriff's Office arrested 18-year-old Colby Dylan Holcomb, the boyfriend of the child's mother, after an investigation. The sheriff's office found that an incident involving Holcomb and the baby happened on Water Lane in Jonesville. 

Holcomb was charged with one felony count of Intentional Child Abuse, Serious Bodily Injury and one felony count of Assault Serious Bodily Injury. Holcomb was given a $12,500 secured bond and has a court appearance Wednesday.
