Belk Closing Store At Four Seasons Town Centre

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Belk will close its store at the Four Seasons Town Centre in Greensboro.

A Belk spokesperson said it plans to close the store at the mall by February 2015. It also plans to put all of its energy in two major projects. Currently, Belk is expanding its store at the Friendly Center in Greensboro into a flagship store which will open in the fall. It's also expanding its home goods locations at 604 Green Valley Road across from Friendly Center.

Recently, Belk opened a $7 million store at the Palladium at the Deep River Shopping Center in High Point.

The Belk store closing will impact 58 workers who will be able to apply for open positions at its other locations. Employees who remain at the store through its closing will be eligible for severance pay.
