Burlington Man Shot in Back at Home at 3 a.m.: Police

BURLINGTON, NC - Burlington police are investigating a possible break-in and shooting Monday morning from the 700 block of Lee Street.

A release from the police department says officers found a 43-year-old black man with a gunshot wound to his back shortly after 3 a.m. The man said several people broke in through a door and fired several shots, hitting him at least once. Police say it's not a random crime after finding evidence that suggests the victim was targeted.
