Car Crashes Into House In Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Police say a car crashed into a parked vehicle and slammed into the side of a house. 
 
It happened just before 8:00 a.m. on Wednesday on Bessemer and Holt Avenue in Greensboro 
 
Police say the driver, Brandie Passmore, lost control of the vehicle, crashed, and ran off to a nearby apartment complex. 
 
The family inside the house told wfmy news 2 they woke up to a loud bang and saw a woman running away. 
"When I walked outside, it was a lot of smoke," said Zakee Webster. "The car was smoking and the lady who was driving the car was running. I'm trying to think what's the next step as fas as what I'm going to do about the car and this whole situation."
Police are charging the driver with hit and run.
 
Passmore was sent to the hospital with minor injuries. 
 
No one else was hurt.
