Clinton In Charlotte Again Next Week

The Charlotte Observer is reporting Democratic Presidential nominee Hillary Clinton will hold a private fundraiser in Charlotte next Thursday.

Clinton's third Charlotte appearance in the last two months is scheduled for the Myers Park area. A recent poll conducted by Emerson College showed Clinton's Republican counterpart Donald Trump holding a two-point lead in the state with 45 percent of the vote.

Clinton appeared with President Barack Obama in Charlotte on July 5 and returned on July 25 to speak to veterans of foreign wars.

With exactly two months until the Presidential election, campaigning trips to North Carolina are becoming more frequent for both sides. Clinton's running mate and Democratic Vice Presidential nominee Tim Kaine will be in Chapel Hill Tuesday for a fundraiser while Republican Vice Presidential nominee Mike Pence is holding a rally Saturday in Fayetteville. Current Vice President Joe Biden will make an appearance in Raleigh on Sept. 12 at the Democratic Governors Association.
