LEXINGTON, N.C. -- More than 70 adults, children, and elders in Lexington now have a coat for the winter.
Cassandra Henderson is from Lexington. She wanted to give back to her community, so she put together a coat giveaway for people who need it most.
Henderson says she and other volunteers gave away at least 70 coats to people of all ages.
She says there were about 75 coats left over from the event on Saturday. The leftover coats were all donated to Crisis Ministry of Davidson County.
