Fire Crews Put Out Van Fire On I-40

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- A van caught on fire around noon on Sunday on I-40 in Greensboro. Emergency workers say it happened near the Lee Street exit.

Three people were inside the van but managed to get out safely. The fire closed a lane on I-40 and caused heavy smoke in the area for drivers. There's no word on what started the fire.
