Fire Destroys Davie County Home

MOCKSVILLE, N.C. – A fire that destroyed a home in Davie County is under investigation.

Jerry Myers with the Davie County Fire Marshal's Office told WFMY News 2, no one was at home at the time of the fire.

Myers said they received the call from a neighbor around 5:00 a.m. Tuesday. When the fire department arrived at the home, officials said the roof was completely burnt off and it was fully involved.

Three fire departments responded and it took about four hours to put the fire out.
