$46 Million H2OBX Water Park at NC Outer Banks Ready to Open

What better way to kick off summer than heading to a water park. Angeli Kakade (@angelikakade) has the story.

POWELLS POINT, N.C. (WVEC) -- H2OBX said on Facebook it would open to the public on June 21.

UPDATE: Tuesday the park posted on its Facebook page the opening is delayed due to inclement weather. The new date and time have not released yet.

The new water park in Currituck County will have a nautical theme and draw inspiration from familiar icons, including historic lighthouses, famous pirate ships, and the Wright Brothers' legacy.

Mike Holloway shared drone images and video of the park with 13News Now.

The 80-acre project is located two miles north of the Wright Memorial Bridge.

Season passes are available for purchase on H2OBX's website.
