9Round Kickboxing To Kick Cancer

GREENSBORO, NC- A local fitness center is kickboxing to kick breast cancer to the curb.

9Round in Greensboro is hosting its Kick Event for Breast Cancer Thursday. Fitness enthusiasts will help raise money for breast cancer research with one penny being donated for every kick recorded throughout the day.

Money raised will be donated to The Cone Health Mammography Scholarship Fund. These funds go to women who cannot afford a mammogram screening.

The event will run from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. at 2002 New Garden Road.

If you can't make the event but want to donate, you can make a check out to "Cone Health Mammography Scholarship Fund" and drop it off at 9Round.

Since the event’s inception five years ago, participating 9Round locations throughout the United States and Canada have recorded over 18.8 million kicks and raised nearly $189,000 to advance breast cancer treatment and laboratory research.
