Whether you believe in ghosts or not, you can't deny that the Triad has a rich history and some people believe it's a haunted history. That's why Dan Riedel of Carolina History & Haunts offers ghost tours in Greensboro, Winston-Salem and Charlotte.

Riedel says his wife got him into ghost tours. The couple and their staff offer the 90-minute, walking tours year round but business definitely picks up around Halloween. They offer tours every day. Adult tickets are $15 and kids tickets are $13. Children under 7 can tour for free.

While spooky, the tours are family friendly. Riedel says be prepared to walk and have a good time.

Throughout the tour you'll hear stories of the haunted Carolina Theatre. Where a fire burned, killing a women who likes to stick around for the shows. You'll go to the Biltmore Hotel where two ghosts have never checked out. The tour even stops at "elsewhere," a living museum where something, or someone, is not so alive.
