BURLINGTON, N.C. -- Get ready for a weekend full of music, food trucks and fun in Burlington! The city hosts the 29th Annual Carousel Festival this Saturday and Sunday.
The Carousel Festival is the City of Burlington's largest event.
The Festival is a free 2-day music festival in Burlington's City Park.
Along with great music, you can find art, antiques, great food and amusement park rides for the kids.
Bands and performers will perform on three different stages.
The Jimmy Combs Pavilion: Main Stage
This location is the centerpiece of the live entertainment. The lineup each year features singers and bands locally and regionally. The Jimmy Combs Pavilion is located in the heart of the festival up the hill from the food court and around the corner from the Under The Trees features. Picnic tables are first come first serve.
Thataways Youth Center: Thataways Stage
Performers at this location include a broad mix of local bands, dance groups and a DJ. Bleachers and picnic tables are open for spectators to sit and listen to the bands. This location is on the backside of Thataways Youth Center. Nearby at the playground or the kids interactive play area parents and children alike can enjoy the tunes from the Thataway Stage.
Under The Trees Stage
The newest stage added to the festival in 2014 is nestled "under the trees" just beyond the miniature train ride. The stage presents a laid back atmosphere as if the performance is occurring in your own backyard. Performers are local and regional.
The Burlington Carousel Festival is pet friendly as long as you keep pooches on a leash.
The Festival runs from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Saturday and from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday.
