GREENSBORO, NC -- Don't be surprised if you spot a group of motorcyclists riding through town, looking like they're from another time. People across the world will participate in the Distinguished Gentleman's Ride on Sunday to raise money for prostate cancer research and men's mental health.
The event began in 2012 in Australia and has grown to a worldwide ride with more than 90,000 participants, raising millions of dollars. Inspired by styles of the past, the ride encourages riders to dress up in vintage costume (think tailored suits, monocles, mustaches and vests) and ride classic and vintage-style bikes.
Select Cycle is hosting the Greensboro leg of the ride. It begins at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, September 24th at the shop on North Eugene Street. The ride starts at 11:00 a.m. and ends around 1:00 p.m. at Natty Greene's Kitchen + Market in Revolution Mill.
The ride is free but donations are encouraged. You can register and/or donate here: https://www.gentlemansride.com/
