HIGH POINT, N.C. -- You can help end homelessness and fight hunger with every putt on Tuesday, July 8, 2014.
Open Door Ministries of High Point will host a Putt Putt Golf Tournament to benefit the community programs it provides to people in need.
Steven Keys, the Executive Director at Open Door Ministries explained its mission and why donations are so important. "The money we raise at this event will allow Open Door Ministries to continue serving the hungry, homeless and poor in the High Point community."
Open Door Ministries is one of the primary organizations in the greater High Point area that provides immediate assistance in the areas of food, housing and emergency financial assistance to low-income and homeless persons.
The non-profit operates the Father's Table, which provides over 130,000 meals a year. Open Door runs a nonperishable food pantry that serves up to 200 families each month.
The price to play won't break your wallet either. Children ages 12 & under play for $5, ages 13-17 play for $8 and anyone over 18-years-old pays $10. The donation covers three rounds of miniature golf.
This event puts the "FUN" in fundraiser. You can join in on Tuesday, July 8, 2014 by heading out to the Putt Putt Golf Course located at 2418 North Main Street in High Point.
You can play from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. and it all benefits Open Door Ministries of High Point.
