GREENSBORO, NC -- Sometimes, having the blues isn't a bad thing! Next weekend, you'll have the chance to buy some unique blues music and help a good cause!
Dave Fox and Benjy Johnson, producers of the new recording Healing Blues: Spoken Words, joined Tracey McCain on the Good Morning Show to talk about the upcoming Healing Blues Concert.
The Healing Blues Project invites people that are experiencing need such as homelessness, income inequality, ptsd or abuse, to tell a story of their challenges to participating blues musicians. Blues musicians will collaborate with the storyteller to write and perform a song that will be included in the Healing Blues album crediting both the collaborators with the creation of the song.
The Healing Blues Concert for the Homeless and CD Release Party for Healing Blues: Spoken Words will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 7:30 P.M. at the Huggins Auditorium, Greensboro College. The address is 815 W. Market St., Greensboro, NC 27401. It'll cost $10 to attend the concert and $15 to buy a cd.
All proceeds go to Interactive Resource Center in support of the work on behalf of the homeless.
