GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Fashion and fundraising are taking over the runway in downtown Greensboro Friday, February 20, 2015.
Rock the Runway is the Triad Goodwill's signature fundraiser where local designers create a 10 piece collection from items they find in Goodwill Retail Stores.
"They've taken bed sheets, 80's prom dresses and more and sewed them into one of a kind creations," described Laura Schaefer, the Social Media and Marketing Specialist for Goodwill Industries of Central North Carolina.
Each designer was also tasked with creating at least one look for someone aged 5 to 15. The seven designers have worked for months to show off their one of a kind designs all in the name of raising money for Goodwill, which aims to put people back to work.
Tickets to the event SOLD OUT early Thursday morning but if you're interested in becoming a model or designer for the 2016 Rock The Runway event, contact Triad Goodwill or visit www.GoodwillRockTheRunway.org.
