GREENSBORO, N.C. -- What are you having for lunch or dinner? You might want to fire up the grill and grab a hot dog for old times sake. Today, Wednesday, July 24, 2014 is Hot Dog day!
Celebrated all over the world, Hot Dog Day features events and hot dogs in abundance. Some organizations and non-profit groups use the day to raise money for charity. While others stock up on large quantities of sausage, beef, bratwurst, ketchup, mustard and all the fixings you can imagine.
Chef Brandon from Fat Dogs Grille & Pub took us on a tasty tour of how hot dogs are made around the U.S.A.
"We have to start with the Carolina dog all the way. That's a 100 percent beef hot dog, with chili, slaw and onions," he said.
Of course the Good Morning Show crew offered to do an official taste test.
Fat Dogs is known for more than just hot dogs. The Spring Garden Street restaurant serves up a delicious tray of chicken wings, salads, shrimp; you name it.
