Harley Davidson of Greensboro Honors Moms With A Ride

Greensboro, N.C. -- Take mom on the ride of her life for Mother's Day. Harley Davidson of Greensboro is honoring the hardworking moms in our community through a motorcycle ride through the Triad and a donation to the Triad Goodwill.

Costen Warner with Harley Davidson of Greensboro and Deanna Miller with Triad Goodwill joined WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain on the Good Morning Show to talk about the event taking place on Saturday, May 10, 2014.

"A big reason for this is about getting the ladies out there," said Warner. "A large portion of our owners are women. We want everybody to come out, but we're honoring our mothers, all the women in our community," he said.

Harley Davidson of Greensboro has organized several rides, but this is the first to focus on mom and its new partnership with Triad Goodwill.

And get a load of this unique registration fee.

"All you have to do is bring a bag of women's clothing and other new or gently used items the day of the ride. All of the clothing will be given to Goodwill Industries of Central NC and the people who need it," she said.

You can also donate at any Triad Goodwill store. Just bring your donation slip to the ride so attendants can validate your registration.

"There's going to be a lot of folks out there and it's really two beacons of the community coming together trying to do something great for everybody," said Warner.

The Honoring Our Mother's Ride is on Saturday, May 10th at Harley-Davidson of Greensboro on 538 Farragut Street .

The event begins at 10 a.m. with kickstands up for a country ride through the Triad at Noon. Don't forget to bring a bag of clothes to donate to Triad Goodwill.
