WINSTON-SALEM, NC -- You can get high on the hog in the Twin City. RibFest is back at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. Bringing delicious barbecue to the Triad, RibFest promises food, drinks, music and, most of all, fun.
The food festival began in 2005 in a church parking lot in downtown Winston-Salem. Now it brings 15,000 to 20,000 people to the Triad and gains national recognition. USA Today just named Twin City RibFest one of the best food festivals in the country.
You won't find North Carolina-style 'cue at this festival but you will find fall-off-the-bone ribs and award-winning menus. Cooks from Texas to Illinois will be there to whip up their finest eats and compete for the grand prize.
RibFest runs through Sunday, June 4th at the Winston-Salem Fairgrounds. You can get in for free before 5:00 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Admission is $7 all other times but if you bring a can of food for Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina you will get $2 off.
