MEBANE, N.C. -- We are giving you all the reasons you need to bowl for a good cause. Three-year-old Ridge Riley has an inoperable brain tumor. He is blind in one eye and has lost peripheral vision in the other eye. As you can imagine his medical bills are extensive. And that's where you come in. You can "Bowl For The Battle" and help Ridge.
"His family went to the beach and he kept falling down so they new something was wrong," said Brenda Kay Agner, who founded The Angels Helping Hands organization. "They thought he had an ear infection so they took him to the doctor, did a CAT scan and found out he had a tumor."
The expenses for Ridge's treatment top $25,000 a year. The family has insurance, but there are a lot of extra costs that they need help with.
"That's where the Angels Helping Hands comes in. We pay the bills from whatever fundraiser we're doing to help families in need," said Agner.
The organization helps children who are suffering from diseases and their families who are struggling financially to help with their healing process.
You can help the organization and the Riley family on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. You can register now to bowl. They need 18 teams of 6. The cost is $40 per person to bowl as many games as you can.
Come meet little Ridge and support his family on Saturday, October 1st at the Buffaloe Lanes in Mebane. For more information call (919) 563-9999 or click here for more information.
