GREENSBORO, NC -- Calling all ladies! if you,or someone you know, needs a job: listen up!
This weekend, you'll have a special chance to get special training on resumes, wardrobe, even makeup tips. Then you'll get a chance to put the new skills you learn to use!
Deborah Goddard with the city of Greensboro's Commission on the Status of Women and Arva Gathers with NC Works Career Center joined Tracey McCain on the Good Morning Show to talk about the events!
It all starts with a workshop on Saturday, September 17th from 9:00am - 1:00pm at the NC Works Career Center. The address is 2301 W Meadowview Road. There will be sessions on using social media to build your personal brand, things to do and to avoid on resumes, advice to help you ace your next interview, ways to help you plan your career based on your interests. The day will include professional makeup demonstrations and a fashion show as well. You can register online for the workshop by clicking here.
Then the ladies who attend the workshops will get VIP access a Higher Opportunities for Women career fair happening Wednesday, September 21 from 8:00 am - Noon. This career fair is open to anyone, but those with VIP access will get to enter before the general public.
