Greensboro, N.C. -- Get ready to save! The IncrEDIBLE Plant Sale is heading to the Greensboro Children's Museum on Saturday, April 26, 2014.
You can get plants starting at just $3. The best part, you have your choice of any of the thousands of 33 plant varieties available, including tomato and artichoke plants.
"There are also pepper and vegetable plants, herbs and flowers for sale," said Lilly Midgett-Nicholson, an educator with the Greensboro Children's Museum.
The 2nd annual sale supports The Edible Schoolyard with a day full of children's activities, food trucks and live music. The Edible Schoolyard includes a half-acre urban, teaching garden and kitchen classroom.
Mark your calendars, the plant sale is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Greensboro Children's Museum on North Church Street. Plant prices range between $3 and $5.
Come for the plants, but stay for the family activities. You can enjoy a bite from one of the four food trucks that will be there and dance to live music.
The event is free, but money from the plant sale benefits the Edible Schoolyard at the Greensboro Children's Museum. You can find more information on the their website, www.gcmuseum.com.
