North Carolina Musicians Fight Hunger

Music For Meals Helps People In Need

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Twenty-one musicians are teaming up for one common goal this weekend.

When you go to the Music For Meals concert on Saturday, June 10, 2017, you can rock out to some great music all while helping feed hungry families in our community.

Event performer Matt Irie says 21 different acts will perform 7 different genres throughout the day.

"It's always a good time, but the cause is the most important thing.  We want to feed the hungry the best way we know how and that's through music," he said.

The family fun event starts at 4 p.m. with live music, face painting, bounce houses, games, corn hole, a food truck and more. Then at 8:30 p.m. the event shifts to an adult party with more live music and drink specials.

Make a plan to head to the Music for Meals benefit concert Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Shiners on Dolley Madison Avenue in Greensboro.  It's free to go when you bring 3 non-perishable food items to benefit the Out of the Garden Project or you can pay $5 at the door.

Come out for the bounce houses, face-painting and family fun starting at 4 p.m. The party for the 18 plus crowd doesn't stop until 1 a.m.
