Program Teaches Teens Financial Literacy

GREENSBORO, NC -- Get a summer job! A lot of parent are saying that to their kids right about now.

Whether it's babysitting or mowing the lawn, showing the initiative is important. But getting started can be tough.

That's why Michael Norbury of ReBuildUp and Glenn Kirk of Summit Credit Union are trying to help.

On Saturday, June 14th, they're hosting a Teen Financial Literacy and Jobs Course Program at the Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship from 1-3:30 PM.

The teenagers will play Economy, Jr., an Economic Literacy game, and Pitch Drill, a fast paced business plan and pitching contest.
They're learn about marketing a business, marketing themselves, budgeting and saving.

The program is free.
