Russian Piano Trio To Play Masterworks Concert In Greensboro

GREENSBORO, N.C. -- It's not every day a trio of artists who perform in the biggest cities in America stop by the Good Morning Show. The Hermitage Piano Trio joined the crew Tuesday to preview their upcoming performance at the Tanger Outlets Masterworks Series with the Greensboro Symphony.

The trio is made up of violinist Misha Keylin, cellist Sergey Antonov and pianist Ilya Kazantsev. They have been credited for their recordings with the "Critic's Choice" distinction from The New York Times, Gramophone and The Strad, and the accolades don't stop there.

The Washington Post: "three of Russia's most spectacular young soloists...turned in a performance of such power and sweeping passion that it left you nearly out of breath."

Keylin, Antonov and Kazantsev are based in the United States and have taught at the Eastman School of Music, Boston University, Oberlin College and the Tanglewood Music Center. Watch the attached video to hear more about the group's background and how they prepare for their many performances.

If you want to see the trio for yourself, they'll be at the War Memorial Auditorium Feb. 27 at 7:30 p.m. and March 1 at 8:00 p.m. For ticket information click here or call (336) 335-5456 extension 224.
