SciWorks Explores The Science Behind Every Day Stuff

Winston-Salem, N.C. -- Have you ever wondered the science behind every day stuff? From roller coasters to musical instruments, science is in everything.

The Strange Matter exhibit at SciWorks in Winston-Salem explores the fascinating world of materials science. The exhibit features several hands-on activities that not only helps to make learning fun, but easy to understand.

Monday on the Good Morning Show, WFMY News 2's Tracey McCain gave you a sneak peak at some of the experiments in the Strange Matter exhibit and the lesson behind each activity.

"Strange Matter makes the science that touches our lives each and every day memorable and fun, while leading to a greater understanding of the world around us," said Paul Kortenaar, Executive Director of SciWorks.

You can take the kids and uncover the science behind every day "stuff" though May 26, 2014. The Strange Matter exhibit is open during normal business hours at SciWorks, which is located at 400 West Hanes Mill Road in Winston-Salem.
