GREENSBORO, NC -- October is Breast Cancer Awareness month and it's an illness that impacts people in various ways.
For two piedmont college students, it hits home. Brittany and Brandi Price lost their mother to breast cancer last October. While they miss their mother, the sisters have decided to do something to honor her memory and help others battling cancer.
They joined Tracey McCain on the Good Morning Show to talk about their project. Brandi attends NCA&T and Brittany is a graduate student at Lenoir Rhyne.
They say seeing their mother fight breast cancer really opened their eyes to what people really go through. They say if you've never been with someone to chemotherapy or radiation you have no idea what they are really dealing with. Being aware of their situations, the sisters wanted to do something to brighten a day for the people still fighting to brighten their day, show them they are not in this fight alone, and to show that people are supporting them.
So the sisters started a project to put together chemo care packages and want the community to help!
