Do you know a girl who always has her head in the clouds? She may need to attend an event coming up called Girls in Aviation Day!
Valerie Barrett and Marie Kogiso with the Triad's chapter of 'First In Flight Chapter of Women in Aviation' joined Meghann Mollerus on the Good Morning Show to talk about their upcoming event!
Girls in Aviation Day is to encourage and inspire young women to discover aviation and aviation career possibilities. At the event, they will have guest speakers from different aviation backgrounds where the girls will have an opportunity to meet and ask questions. After the guest speakers, the attendees will break into groups where the girls will rotate through different stations including flying a computer flight simulator, learning to use navigation charts, learning hands on about fabric aircraft restoration, learning about how a hot air balloon works, and more!
While the Triad Girls in Aviation Day event is happening at Sugar Valley Airport in Mocksville, NC, it'll also be happening in other cities! Girls in Aviation Day is a FREE event that is offered all over the world on the same day by local chapters!
