RANDLEMAN, NC -- If you have the need for speed and want to meet NASCAR's First Family, look no further than Randleman. On October 14th, NASCAR fans will gather downtown for the NASCAR Day Festival, celebrating the sport's heritage in North Carolina.
From 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. thousands of people will be on Main Street and the new Commerce Square for BBQ, music, handmade crafts, racing memorabilia, cars, kids rides and even a NASCAR simulator. Autograph sessions with The Petty's will begin in the afternoon. The King, Richard Petty, will sign from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m.
New this year, the NASCAR, wide-screen simulator will put you at the center of the action on the track and a new mobile app to give you a festival map and information. To get the mobile updates just text "NASCAR" to 313131.
Stick around for the "Little Ms. And Mr. NASCAR Day Pageant," cloggers, dancers and a variety of live music.
For almost 30 years thousands have enjoyed the festival. For more information, check out their website.
