GREENSBORO, N.C. -- Every breast cancer survivor has an amazing story to share and Patricia Neal is no different.
Four years ago, doctors diagnosed her with stage three progressive breast cancer. She wasn't expected to live, but not only did she survive, she thrived! Neal took that diagnosis and literally turned life's lemons into lemonade.
Patricia Neal created Divine Lemonades and through her life story, she inspires others to fight and beat cancer.
Neal talked about the roller coaster of emotions that she experienced.
"I got the news and they were going to take my whole breast off and it was very scary to hear that you have cancer but I'm standing here today and I'm fighting!," said Neal.
She encourages everyone to get checked, no matter your age, race or gender.
"Anyone who is going through breast cancer, it is a scary thing because you don't know what your body is going to do," said Neal. "My advice to woman, man, everybody, you need to go get your body checked. If you feel anything that doesn't feel right you should get it checked out."
After her diagnosis, Neal felt inspired to create Divine Lemonades. Show now has thirty-seven flavors of lemonades and teas.
"They're all natural, freshly squeezed, juices. I eat and drink lemonade; it is truly a passion."
Neal is giving people a chance to sample and purchase Divine Lemonades at the Lexington Barbecue Festival this Saturday, October 28, 2017. You can check her out at the festival or learn more about her story by clicking here.
