Use Body Language To Make Good Impressions

If you're looking for a last minute job for the holiday season, you want to be ready to impress your employers and customers. Let’s talk about a few body language tips to help you do just that.

Making people feel welcomed is more than saying “hello”. What’s missing is the personal connection. I’m talking about looking at people and smiling. These simple actions are underused. If you’re disengaged, you can’t be welcoming. Remember that your greeting sets the stage for buying.

When you’re talking to customers, watch their body language. If they’re facing you and their feet are pointed towards you this signals they want to talk to you. They’re open to your opinion. If their body or shoulder is slightly turned away this signals that they want space. So back off and check in a little bit.

To help a customer feel comfortable around you, mirror their body language. When you do this, you’re subconsciously sending messages that you’re more the same then different.  And remember that “like likes like”. You like people who are similar to you.
